From the recording Gentle Woman of a Dangerous Kind (for L.J.S.)
Title track for the documentary film, Gentle Woman of a Dangerous Kind. The theme was originally written for this film depicting the life of Marii Hasegawa, a Japanese woman who was relegated to a Japanese internment camp during WWII, and went on to become a noted peace activist in the U.S., and later a Nowano Peace Prize recipient. The piano version was developed in honor of Louise Jordan Smith, civil rights activist in Greensboro, N.C.
